Thousands of police disciplinary records are expected to be released to the public as soon as this week, offering a long-awaited glimpse into police misconduct cases across the state.
The records, which will be made available in a database by the state’s police oversight board, the Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission, cover more than 4,000 complaints against officers that their employers found to be substantiated.
The release of the database has been a long time coming.
